Lesson 5: Red-Eye Correction/Brighten/Liquify

This exercise involved using the red-eye removal tool, brightening the image, and then using the Liquify tools to alter the model's facial features.

I'd like to note that I'm highly critical of the overuse of graphics software to alter the facial features and bodies of people in media. I believe the normalization and prevalence of unrealistic beauty standards does real harm, and this is only compounded by the ease with which they can be effected using graphics software and the readiness with which graphic artists and media publications are willing to use them. As such, I believe using Photoshop and other visual design programs to alter people's facial and body proportions should be avoided without very good (non-superficial) reason to employ them in such a manner.
